An unforgettable community based experience led by Amber Daniels in partnership with local breweries and event spaces
Dancing to 80’s and 90’s music, students will participate in an hour-long ballet barre class which occurs at a brewery. Participants of legal age are invited to purchase a brew and take their place at the bar. The class will then concentrate on anatomical position, movement therapy, and beginning to intermediate ballet training.
Beer and Ballet is known for its community outreach and positive spirit. There is always an “After Class Hangout” where participants are invited to stay at the brewery to meet new people, talk about class, chat about the brews they are enjoying, and experience a new community.

"...take a chance on a quirky event that may attract people you wouldn't even imagine.”
- Natalie R.
Event Coordinator for Aardwolf Brewing Company
"We may not all be perfect at ballet, but that’s not the point of Beer and Ballet. The point is that anyone can do it, and that it is a fun way to express yourself if you loosen up a little... thanks to the beer.””
-Kevin and Rebecca R.
Participants of Beer and Ballet
"The first class held 15 participants. Some were current supporters of the company, while others were supporters of the brewery. The number of participants continued to grow with every class.”

Artistic Director of Jacksonville Dance Theatre
We believe dance is a powerful art form. We believe craft brewing is an art form in itself. Both strive to find community, collaboration, and artistry within their specific fields. Bringing these worlds together our mission is to investigate conversations between what should seem as two polar opposite domains, create accessibility of dance to new participants, and explore the possibilities of collaboration.
We have special online merchandise. Proceeds go towards keeping our costs low, paying our teaching artists, and class assistants. Be sure to check out our collaboration merch with the Trevor Project and Beer is for Everyone. 50% of these proceeds with go towards these wonderful non-pofits.
No worries at all! This class was created on the foundational belief that everyone no matter what level is welcomed in the space. We are all here to have fun, enjoy some brews, meet new people, and move together.
We suggest wearing something comfortable that you may move fully in. As far as footwear goes, we suggest bringing comfortable socks (that don't slip easily) or (if you have them) ballet shoes.
Oh yes! However, we highly suggest drinking water throughout your participation. It's recommended to bring a personal water bottle.
Normally, the answer is of course! The more the merrier! Just have them sign up on Event Brite and they will be good to go.
Thank you! I'll reach back out as soon as possible. If you need a quick response for an upcoming class, reach out to me on social media.
